Kutch Work

It’s been a long time, since I have composed any posts.

I have a penchant for hand embroidery and have managed to sew up a few of them. In this ride tagged “Eye for a Needle”, I will be sharing all the Needlework.

This is an exquisite “Interlacing Work”, in which, two phases are involved.
At first, the base is completed and then we lace interweave all along the blocks.
This work is significantly used in Gujarat Motif’s and hence referred to as “Kutch Work”.

I find it very comforting to sew these, as this is trouble-free.
